In this statement we use the term The Club to refer to Tottenham Hotspur Ltd, Tottenham Hotspur Football & Athletic Co. Limited, Tottenham Hotspur Women, Tottenham Hotspur Foundation and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium Limited. The Club operates a zero tolerance attitude to abuse, harassment, hate and unlawful discrimination of any kind.

The Club is fully committed to:

  • providing an inclusive environment free from unlawful discrimination and Hate Crime for its supporters, players, and workforce;
  • ensuring that its environments, both in person and online, are spaces where all individuals are provided with equal opportunities and feel safe and included; and
  • tackling all forms of hatred, providing support (particularly to vulnerable individuals) and providing everyone, whatever their connection to the Club, with a means for reporting discriminatory behaviour, including Hate Crime.

A potential Hate Crime is defined by the Crown Prosecution Service here as "any criminal offence which is perceived by the victim, or any other person, to be motivated by hostility or prejudice, based on a person's disability or perceived disability; race or perceived race;  religion or perceived religion; sexual orientation or perceived sexual orientation; or transgender identity or perceived transgender identity".

The Club will investigate all reports of alleged Hate Crime connected to the Club, including any of its players or workforce, as a priority. The Club will acknowledge receipt of the report and where permissible (by way of example and for illustration purposes only, under data protection legislation), the Club will update you about the outcome of the investigation. In all cases, the Club will consider and, if necessary, discuss with the victim whether the matter should be reported to the Police and/or any other relevant authority.

Where a report relates to the alleged actions of a supporter, or any other third party, the matter will be dealt with in cooperation with the relevant football authorities, the Football Policing Unit and/or any other connected club. We shall refer to the Club’s Sanctions and Banning Policy and also the Crowd Disorder and Anti-Social Behaviour Plan, where appropriate, and any replacement, supplementary or successor policies the Club may introduce from time to time.
