Hear from Kareem

Kareem Mavideniz has worked at the Stadium’s F1 DRIVE – London after receiving our one-to-one CV and interview support.

“Before being introduced to the Foundation, I was getting into a lot of trouble, just typical stuff. You name it, been there, done that.

“I knew there were schemes to help young people in Tottenham, but I had that mindset of ‘It’s not for me’.

“However, when I met the Foundation employment team, they were able to relate to me, then support me looking for work and trying to change my life around.”

Hear from Andrew

Andrew, who recently enjoyed work experience with us: “I'd like to thank each and every one of you that dedicated time to teach me new things and show me all the wonderful things that happen at the Foundation on a daily basis.

“The week I spent with you I was really made to feel like one of your own. It also made me understand how much effort is put into every programme session to make them the maximum level of greatness for the next generation.

“Thanks again to all the amazing staff!”

Hear from Hopeton

Hopeton Lindo has worked in hospitality at the Stadium after speaking to us at one of our jobs fairs: “Previously, I’d been looking for a work opportunity for about a year. I’ve since worked at the kiosk in the Stadium, serving beverages and food to customers.

“Working on the kiosk has improved my customer service skills, increased my confidence in talking to people, as well as my ability to work within a team.

“The Foundation tries to get you somewhere further within your chosen career path, to the best of their abilities.”

At the culmination of the eight weeks, each young entrepreneur has the chance to win up to £1,000 for their business through a Dragon’s Den-style pitch at the Stadium. The aim is to support the launch of 25 startups in Haringey and Enfield over two years.
