How your support has helped
Jay’s story is a powerful example of the life-changing impact of the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation. After being released from a football academy at 16, Jay’s dream of being a professional footballer was shattered, leaving him struggling with mental health issues and homelessness. “When I was released, it crushed me. I didn’t know how to feel good. I ended up homeless for two months,” Jay shared.
At 18, everything changed when he joined a collaborative project between the Foundation and Street Soccer Foundation. “The 10-week programme wasn’t just about football – it built my confidence, resilience, and life skills. It got me back on my feet and helped me realise there’s life outside of football.” Today, Jay works as a coach with the Foundation, using his experience to inspire and support others. His advice? “Never give up. Trust in opportunities and don’t be afraid to put yourself out there.”

Volunteer for Us
Fancy giving back to your community? Volunteering with the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation is a fantastic way to make a positive impact while being part of something truly special.
We offer a wide range of opportunities to suit your skills and interests. Whether you’re passionate about education, employment, health and wellbeing, or youth and community work, there’s something for everyone. You could get involved in mentoring young people, supporting coaching sessions, assisting at job fairs, or lending a hand at our community programmes.
As a charity, we simply couldn’t do what we do without our incredible volunteers. Your time, energy, and dedication are vital to shaping our programmes and transforming lives – and for that, we are truly grateful.
