Player Season Stats

Brennan Johnson joined us in September, 2023, from Nottingham Forest.

The speedy winger made quite an impact in his first season at Spurs, notably weighing in with 10 assists and five goals in his 32 appearances in the Premier League (23 starts). Brennan made 34 appearances in all competitions in 2023/24.

It was quite a start in Lilywhite for the Wales international, who made his debut off the bench in our thrilling 2-1 win against Sheffield United in September, 2023, before making his full debut in the north London derby at the Emirates.

Brennan picked up an injury at Arsenal that would keep him out for a month, but after returning against Fulham on 23 October, either started or featured off the bench in our remaining 30 Premier League matches. Highlights included a late winner against Brighton on 10 February, 2024 and a goal in our 4-0 win at Villa in March.

Brennan's 10th and final assist of 2023/24 came in our 3-0 victory at Sheffield United on the final weekend of the season - by doing so, he became only the fourth player to hit that milestone in their maiden campaign at the Club in the Premier League era.

Born in Nottingham, Brennan, joined Forest's academy at the age of eight and progressed through the ranks to make his debut against West Brom in the Championship in August, 2019.

He spent a successful loan spell at Lincoln City in 2020/21, where his 13 goals helped the Imps reach the League One Play-Off Final - while his form also earned him a first senior cap for Wales, coming against the USA in November, 2020.

Back at the City Ground, Brennan starred as Forest gained promotion from the Championship into the Premier League in 2021/22. He scored 19 goals in all competitions, including 16 in the league and was on target in both legs of the semi-finals against Sheffield United as Forest returned to the top flight via the play-offs. His performances were recognised by the EFL - he was EFL Young Player of the Month in September, Championship Player of the Month for April and the Championship's Young Player of the Season.

Brennan was ever-present in his first season in the Premier League, contributing eight goals in 38 appearances and another two as Forest reached the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup.

Capped across all youth levels by Wales, Brennan already has over 20 senior caps to his name and was part of Rob Page's squad for the World Cup in 2022. In March, Brennan and Ben Davies suffered the pain of a penalty shoot-out loss to Poland in their play-off final for a place Euro 2024 in Germany. At the end of 2023/24, Brennan had 28 caps for his country.
