Jamie Donley made his first senior start for Northern Ireland, Pape Matar Sarr was on target for Senegal and Wales rescued a late, late point in World Cup qualifying on a busy international Tuesday for our players.

The day started with Heung-Min Son setting up South Korea's opener and a first cap for Yang Min-Hyeok off the bench as Korea were held 1-1 by Jordan in Suwon in Asia World Cup qualifying.

After his first cap off the bench for Northern Ireland against Switzerland on Friday, Jamie started his first game as NI suffered a 5-1 friendly loss against Sweden in Stockholm. Jamie, impressing this season on loan at Leyton Orient, started up front and completed the 90 minutes.

Pape took his goal superbly to open the scoring after 38 minutes of a crucial World Cup qualifying win for Senegal against Togo. Kevin Boma's own goal doubled Senegal's lead as it ended 2-0 in Dakar. Pape completed the 90 minutes as Senegal continue to battle with Sudan and DR Congo for the one automatic place up for grabs for the 2026 finals in USA, Canada and Mexico from CAF qualifying Group B.

It looked like a tough night's work would go unrewarded for Ben Davies and Brennan Johnson as Bojan Miovski capitalised on a mistake to fire North Macedonia in front against Wales in the 91st minute of their World Cup qualifier in Skopje. However, David Brooks poked home the equaliser with 90+6 on the clock to rescue what could be a vital point in Group J. Earlier, Brennan had an effort cleared off the line with the score at 0-0. He played 84 minutes, Ben, captaining the team again, completed a full shift.

Manor Solomon started as Israel suffered a 4-2 loss against Norway in World Cup qualifying Group I.

In South America's CONMEBOL World Cup qualifiers, Rodrigo Bentancur played a full shift and drilled a shot just wide in the second half as Uruguay picked up a goalless draw against Bolivia in El Alto. Uruguay remain fourth in the table - the top six of 10 from CONMEBOL go straight to the 2026 finals.

Mikey Moore completed the full 90 and provided the assist for Sunderland's Chris Rigg as England Under-19s beat Portugal 1-0 at Deeside Stadium to book a place in the UEFA U19 European Championship finals in Romania in June.

Jun’ai Byfield captained England Under-17s as they beat Northern Ireland 5-0 at St George’s Park in their final UEFA U17 European Championship qualifier. Malachi Hardy was an unused substitute for the Young Lions, while team-mate George Feeney started and played 65 minutes for Northern Ireland. England progress to the finals in Albania in May. In the same competition, Leon Myrtaj opened the scoring for Albania against Wales, only for Wales to turn it around and win 2-1. Leon played 71 minutes - Albania's place in the tournament is assured as hosts.

Cristian Romero was set to complete March's internationals for our players when Argentina face Brazil in CONMEBOL qualifying in Buenos Aires at midnight.
