Ange Postecoglou has said that there is a chance Ben Davies could return to the side for Sunday's clash with AFC Bournemouth.

The defender has missed our last four games but Ange confirmed on Friday morning that the Welshman is back in training and progressing.

An assessment will now be made on the centre-back in the next 24-48 hours ahead of the clash with the Cherries to see whether he is fit enough to return to the squad.

"I'm not really sure. He's training at the moment so we will see how he feels," Ange said. "He's definitely progressed and he feels good, so we will see how we go in the next 24/48 hours. He has a chance (for Sunday) but we will see how he goes."

Elsewhere, Ange reported that Dominic Solanke had been forced off with a knock in Thursday's 1-0 defeat at AZ Alkmaar. Again, the forward will be assessed ahead of the meeting with his former side, Bournemouth, to determine whether he can play.

Richarlison remains sidelined.
