Andoni Iraola said midfielder Ryan Christie is dealing with 'something chronic' but hasn't ruled him out of Sunday's Premier League clash at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (2pm UK).
Christie has started 24 of Bournemouth's 27 league games so far this season as they sit in seventh place ahead of the weekend.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Friday, Iraola explained: "Ryan has something chronic and is dealing with some pain. It’s a situation that we will have to manage day by day. I’m not ruling him out.
“It’s not an easy situation to deal with during the season and he probably needs some rest but, obviously, he wants to continue playing. It’s a situation that we have to continue dealing with and we will continue trying to make him play, especially if he is in a good mood like he is now.”
Iraola added that Mexico international Julián Araujo, sidelined since November, had started training, but wasn't 'feeling 100% yet' and that his players came through last weekend's FA Cup tie against Wolves unscathed. “The ones that were available are continuing to be available and there is nothing new, no.”
Longer-term injuries Enes Unal, Marcos Senesi and former Spur Adam Smith remain out.
