Worm announces retirement from professional football

Wed 19 March 2025, 11:30|Tottenham Hotspur

After more than 17 years in the professional game, Siri Worm has called time on her playing career.

Signed from fellow Barclays Women’s Super League side Everton in July, 2019, the Netherlands international was part of our very first side to compete in England’s top flight, making 10 appearances in that campaign and scoring once.

Often adored for her ‘wand of a left-foot’, she went on to appear in a further 13 games in the following WSL campaign, netting twice in that term, including a memorable free-kick against Bristol City in March, 2021.

The left-sided full-back went on to make 31 appearances for us in all competitions across her two seasons in Lilywhite, before departing at the end of the 2020/21 season.

We should like to wish Alex the best of luck with her next endeavours.
