Pierre and Bailey receive England Under-17 call up

Jhanaie Pierre and Zara Bailey have been named in the latest England Women's Under-17 squad.

Having been named in the last camp with the Young Lionesses last month, where they both scored once across three games in the MIMA Cup, our Academy duo have retained their places in Natalie Henderson’s squad as they continue to secure qualification for this summer’s UEFA U17 European Championships in the Farore Islands.

This month, it’s the second round of qualifying for the tournament. First up in Group A5, they will face Sweden on Friday 14 March (4.30pm KO) at Veritas Stadium, in Finland, with all qualifiers taking place at that venue.

Three days later, Henderson’s side will take on the Netherlands (11.30am KO) before rounding off the group against Finland on Thursday 21 March (11.30am KO).
