Tottenham Hotspur
At the age of 19, he’s already been a TV star, and his rap journey is set to hit overdrive... life is good for Spurs fan Kidwild.
Kidwild played Freddie in hit children’s TV football show Jamie Johnson, coincidentally, created and written by fellow Spurs fan, Dan Freedman. He featured in 42 episodes between 2019-2022, where, in another Spurs twist, he regularly starred alongside Spurs Women forward Lenna-Gunning Williams.
Kidwild’s rapping first caught the eye via TikTok in 2022 and now he’s released Distro Kid, a five-track EP with headline tracks Redemption (feat. Nemzzz) and Indecisive - Is It A Crime already racking up over 30m streams on Spotify.
With 2m monthly streams on Spotify and approaching half-a-million followers on social media, the days of Kidwild quietly walking through the gates at Spurs matches with family friends - as he used to when he first started going to White Hart Lane 10 years ago - may soon be over but, as he told us, he’s never happier than putting that cockerel on his chest and, usually running late, legging it to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in time to watch his beloved Spurs...

You’re an East London boy, how did you come to support Spurs?
Kidwild: “So, when I was younger, I was part of the borough’s football team, and my friend’s dad had a Season Ticket at Spurs for three people, but only him and his son used to go regularly, so they used to take me along. I love supporting Spurs. I’ve even got my shirt on now!”
Can you remember your first game?
Kidwild: “Yes, it was at the old stadium, it might have been Leicester. I know we won - I have a photo somewhere. This was around 2015, that sort of time, great days, that unbeaten season at home in 2016/17."
What’s your matchday routine?
Kidwild: “I like going to the games. The new stadium is very, very, nice, so, going to games, being in that atmosphere, that’s what I’m all about. Say the game is kicking-off at 3pm, it takes me about an hour to the stadium, so I’m always late, always seem to get there just as the game is kicking off! I just search for my Spurs shirt, eat some food, and then make my way – I’m always just running to the stadium!”
Do you go with family or friends?
Kidwild: “It’s just me and one of my friends. Everyone else supports Arsenal or Man United, boring! It’s good though, when we’re winning, it’s the perfect story!”

Are you reaching the stage where you’re getting recognised?
Kidwild: “Yes, I have noticed, it’s more often people are coming up to me saying they know who you are, they know you support Spurs, so you’ve similar interests. It’s good, seeing people in person, so much better than online!"
How about one day listening to your music on a matchday in the stadium?
Kidwild: “That would be a moment, somewhere I’ve been going for 10 years and hearing my music... I’d never forget that moment.”
Onto the music - you’ve gone from rapping in the playground to making records - what has that journey been like? How have you done it?
Kidwild: “Do you know what it is? When we were in the playground, no-one was taking anything seriously, other than football. That’s what everyone wanted to do when we were in school. Then, as you get older, you start to realise harsh truths like, ‘okay, what do I actually want to start doing?’ It just started as a hobby, I had a laptop, just rapping over YouTube beats and when I got my first good song, that was the one I put out and just it started taking off from there. That’s when I knew it was the right path for me.”
For people who haven’t listened, what is your style?
Kidwild: “I always say to people it’s like motivational music, because where I’m coming from and the things I’ve been through, it transfers into my music, all my lyrics are authentic so when you listen, you can relate to a lot of the stuff, and if you have dreams, you can take something from the music. I would say I bring a feeling….”
What’s been the reaction to Distro Kid?
Kidwild: “It’s been crazy, A lot of people are telling me they can relate to my music, and that’s the number one thing for me, someone from anywhere in the world saying thanks because they can relate to it. That’s what it’s all about for me.”
How is 2025 looking?
Kidwild: “Much more music, much more everything - everything you see now, times 10.”
Including Spurs?
Kidwild: “Factual!”
