Tottenham HotspurRodrigo Bentancur has hit his Spurs century!
Starting in Sunday's 2-2 draw with AFC Bournemouth at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the midfielder made his 100th appearance for the Club.
Arriving from Juventus in January, 2022, Rodrigo made an incredible impact in his first few months at the Club as, alongside fellow newcomer Dejan Kulusevski, he helped us return to the UEFA Champions League.
His inspired performances continued into the 2022/23 campaign and the goals started to pour for the Uruguayan. Having not been known for his goalscoring ability - he had scored just four in 247 professional games before moving to north London - our number 30 had six goals for us by the time we reached the first month of 2023.
However, in the game he guided home his sixth of the campaign - a January, 2023, trip to Leicester City - tragedy struck as he suffered a season ending anterior cruciate ligament injury.
After a long road to recovery, he returned to action in the October, only to suffer a further ligament issue the following month which further derailed his campaign.
Now at 100 appearances for the Club, the midfielder is just one of five players in the current squad to have reached the milestone after Heung-Min Son, Ben Davies, Cristian Romero and Dejan Kulusevski. He has nine goals in our colours to date.
