Ange Postecoglou said he’s hopeful Dominic Solanke’s injury late into our UEFA Europa League Round of 16, first leg against AZ Alkmaar is ‘nothing too serious’.

The striker returned to action off the bench on 72 minutes after almost two months and 10 matches out, only to take a knock going up for Pedro Porro’s cross with goalkeeper Rome-Jayden Owusu-Oduro and defender Wouter Goes 20 minutes later.

Speaking to us at the AFAS Stadion, Ange said: “I haven't seen him yet, but it looks like it was just a knock, so hopefully nothing too serious.”

Asked about the injury in his post-match press conference, Ange added: "I am not even sure. It looks like a knock, but I haven’t really seen it. Hopefully, it's nothing too bad."

AZ ran out 1-0 winners on the night, with the second leg to follow at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next Thursday (13 March, 8pm).
