Team news | Richy, Radu, Pape, Yves all fit to face Elfsborg

Ange Postecoglou had positive news for us in terms of team news ahead of our UEFA Europa League MD8 clash against Elfsborg at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday night (8pm UK).

Richarlison, Pape Matar Sarr, Radu Dragusin and Yves Bissouma are all fit to face our Swedish opponents in the final match of the league phase as we aim for a top eight finish that would take us straight through to the Round of 16 in March.

Back from a long-term injury, Richarlison made it two goals in his last two starts against Leicester City on Sunday, but had to be withdrawn on 54 minutes, with Ange later reporting that the striker was 'feeling his groin'.

Thankfully, the Brazil international has recovered - alongside Pape, Radu and Yves. Pape started against Leicester on Sunday, although Ange later suggested he wasn't really fit enough to do so. Radu has battled on having started 21 of our last 22 matches in all competitions while Yves missed recent matches against Everton and Hoffenheim, and was an unused substitute at the weekend.

Speaking after training on Wednesday, Ange told us: "Pape, Radu, Biss, they were all 50-50, but they've come through okay, so they should be fine. Richy is fine, too. He's backed up okay. Again, with Richy, we've just got to be careful. He's been a bit sore, but he's recovered really well, so he's available."

Further good news sees the return of Micky van de Ven after almost three months on the sidelines. However, James Maddison faces a couple of weeks out with a calf issue and Ange remains without the services of Guglielmo Vicario, Cristian Romero, Destiny Udogie, Wilson Odobert, Brennan Johnson, Timo Werner and Dominic Solanke, all injured, while Antonin Kinsky, Sergio Reguilon, Djed Spence and Yang-Min Hyeok are ineligible.
