Anna Csiki has won the first-ever Women’s Hungarian Ballon d’Or
Presented by Hungary's oldest online football website NB1.hu and chosen by a panel of leading editors, the midfielder was named the inaugural winner after her impressive performances for her country in 2024.
An annual award in the eastern European nation which has been honouring the best men’s player in the nation since 1998, this year, NB1 has established a new, separate award for female footballers, with Anna claiming the prize.
A summer arrival from BK Hacken, the 25-year-old has starred in recent weeks for Robert Vilahamn’s side. She made her first start in the Barclays Women’s Super League last Sunday at Crystal Palace and registered her first assist in England’s top flight, setting up Bethany England’s opener in Sutton.
A regular for the Hungary National Team since 2017, Anna has earned 44 caps for her country to date, scoring eight goals.
Congratulations, Anna!
