Foxes turn it around in second half
Spurs 1-2 Leicester City

Leicester City came from behind as we suffered another Premier League defeat on another tough afternoon at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday.
Richarlison gave us the lead during a bright first half in which Foxes goalkeeper Jakub Stolarczyk made a number of excellent saves, but we lost our way early in the second period and conceded goals to Jamie Vardy and Bilal El Khannouss as the visitors went ahead.
We mounted pressure on the Leicester goal for the rest of the contest and hit the crossbar via a deflected Pedro Porro free-kick but couldn’t find a way back into the match, leaving us without a win in our last seven Premier League matches.
There were 10 minutes on the clock when the first big chance fell to Leicester, Victor Kristiansen getting free down the left and having plenty of time to pick out the unmarked Jordan Ayew on the edge of the area but his side-footed shot was cleared by Ben Davies while we created our first opportunity four minutes later. Archie Gray’s cross was kept alive by Lucas Bergvall as he touched it back to Porro, but his fierce drive was well saved by Stolarczyk. The Foxes keeper then made an even better save shortly after, diving full length to his left to tip Heung-Min Son’s low curling effort round the post while, at the other end, Antonin Kinsky gathered James Justin’s 20-yard shot as the game swung from end-to-end.
Back we came, Stolarczyk with another crucial intervention to prevent Son’s cross from going in as he tipped it onto the crossbar before we went ahead in the 33rd minute, Richarlison getting in between Wout Faes and Justin to head Porro’s sumptuous cross home at the back post. We almost conceded straight away but Justin’s shot from 18 yards out flicked off Davies’ leg and drifted just wide while we were in control for the remainder of the half, looking bright in possession even if we didn’t create any further chances before the break.
Less than a minute into the second period though, we were pegged back. Bobby De Cordova-Reid picked the ball up out on the left flank and delivered a low teasing cross which Kinsky couldn’t reach and Vardy was there to tuck home from close range. It got worse four minutes later when De Cordova-Reid passed infield to El Khannouss and he advanced 10 yards before firing a low curling drive out of Kinsky’s reach and into the bottom corner of the net.
Our new goalkeeper almost provided an assist in the 58th minute when his long pass forward set Dejan Kulusevski through on goal but once again Stolarczyk made a good save to deny us. We then hit the woodwork again, Porro’s 25-yard free-kick glancing off Vardy’s head and bouncing away off the crossbar before the right-back weaved his way through the Leicester defence only to crash a shot into the side-netting from a tight angle.
It was pretty much one-way traffic as we tried to find the equaliser and Porro had yet another shot which was saved by Stolarczyk after a slight deflection. The final minutes saw a flurry of crosses and corners come into the Leicester box but nothing would fall our way and the final whistle blew on another tough afternoon.
