Heung-Min Son has revealed which football shirt was the first ever one that he owned.
Appearing on TNT Sports Kenny Allstar's No.1s, the forward was discussing a series of life firsts, including discussing his first-ever football shirt.
A world star in the game and an absolute icon in Korea, it perhaps comes as little surprise that he revealed his first shirt was one of his national team - the one he now captains.
And it was one with great meaning to him and his country as it was the one South Korea wore at the 2002 World Cup - the first-ever hosted in Asia and the tournament they enjoyed their best-ever run, reaching the semi-finals.
"Oh wow! That was the first kit I bought," Son beamed as he was shown the 2002 Korea shirt (pictured above). "I was born in Chuncheon which is one or two hours away from Seoul. So, that day, before the World Cup, I went to Seoul and went to the shop and bought this shirt.
"I still remember, on the back of my shirt, I put the number eight with my name of it. It was a great, great shirt and especially after the World Cup was so, so successful in South Korea. It was really, really meaningful."
