Team news | Bentancur back in the frame for Hoffenheim
Wed 22 January 2025, 19:15|Tottenham Hotspur
Rodrigo Bentancur has travelled with the team to Hoffenheim and has been given the all-clear to play in Thursday night’s UEFA Europa League clash.
Out with a suspected concussion that he sustained in the opening minutes of our Carabao Cup semi-final first leg win over Liverpool at the start of January, Rodrigo has now completed his mandatory two-week spell on the sidelines and is ready to play once again.
Speaking to us at the PreZero Arena in Sinsheim on Wednesday evening, Ange Postecoglou said: "Pape was a bit sore after the weekend, he took a knock, tried to train today but it didn't work out, so he didn't travel. We've got Rodrigo Bentancur back, so they are the only two changes (from Everton)."
We have 14 players unavailable the clash at the PreZero Arena. In total, 10 miss out through injury - Guglielmo Vicario, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Destiny Udogie, Pape Matar Sarr, Yves Bissouma, Wilson Odobert, Dominic Solanke, Brennan Johnson and Timo Werner – while four are ineligible at this stage of the competition - Djed Spence, Sergio Reguilon, Antonin Kinsky and Yang Min-Hyeok.
