Jamie Donley celebrated his birthday weekend with another goal for Leyton Orient to help them defeat relegation-threatened Shrewsbury Town 1-0 in League One on Saturday.

The attacking midfielder, who turned 20 on Friday, registered the only goal of the game in the 63rd minute, his third strike in as many matches and fourth in his last five.

Having gone close with a header at the end of the first half, Jamie collected a pass from Charlie Kelman and converted from a tight angle on the right to break the deadlock.

The result saw Orient extend their unbeaten league run to eight matches – Jamie’s fellow loanee Josh Keeley has kept clean sheets in seven of those, including against Shrewsbury.

Both of our players completed the full 90 minutes.
