Jamie Donley scored his third goal in four games to help Leyton Orient to a 3-2 win away to Bristol Rovers on Wednesday.
The on-loan attacking midfielder started the New Year as he ended the last, getting on the scoresheet as he curled home a stunning free-kick in the 39th minute.
That put the O’s 2-1 up at the Memorial Stadium and they pushed on to win 3-2, continuing their recent unbeaten streak as they close in on the League One play-off places.
Fellow loanee Josh Keeley was once again between the sticks for Orient, with both Jamie and Josh completing the full 90 minutes.
Jamie was also on target in a 2-0 home win over Cambridge United on Sunday, having bagged a goal and two assists in Orient’s last game before Christmas, a 4-0 win at Barnsley.
