Brandon Austin has been assigned his Legacy Number after he made his competitive debut for the Club in Saturday's Premier League clash with Newcastle United.

An Academy graduate, born and raised in Hemel Hempstead, 25-year-old Brandon was handed his first start for the Club in the visit of the Magpies.

In making his first appearance for the Club, the goalkeeper has been assigned Legacy Number 890.

An initiative to recognise every player that has played their part in our 142-year history, our Legacy Numbers project was launched in October, 2023, and has now seen 890 players honoured.

Coming through our youth system, Brandon first appeared around our first team set up in the summer of 2017 when he was part of our squad for our pre-season tour to the USA.

After further experience gained with our Development Squad, in January, 2020, he headed on his first loan move to Danish outfit Viborg FF before a spell with MLS side Orlando City the following season.

In the 2021/22 season, he became a regular fixture of our first team matchday squads and went on to make his first appearance for our first team in a summer friendly with Team K League in Korea.

He has appeared in our senior matchday squad on 78 occasions prior to his debut today.
