Ange Postecoglou has confirmed that Antonin Kinsky will start Sunday's FA Cup third round tie at Tamworth.
A signing from Slavia Prague last Sunday, the goalkeeper was immediately thrust into action in midweek as he started Wednesday's Carabao Cup semi-final first leg clash with Liverpool - and the 21-year-old shone.
Commanding and authoritative in his box, excellent with his feet and with an eye for the pass, the Czech man showed a bit of everything to the Spurs faithful, including a number of eye-catching saves, as he kept a clean sheet on his debut to help us edge the Reds.
And Ange has now confirmed that after his impressive showing against the Premier League leaders, he will now test himself against a side 101 places lower in Tamworth as we take on the non-league side on Sunday in what is perhaps the most romantic of fixtures so far in this season's FA Cup.
Speaking to the media in Friday's pre-match press conference, Ange said: "Toni will start. The Czech league shut down in the middle of December. He hadn't played a competitive game for three weeks and I think he felt pretty rusty as well so I think it is a good opportunity for us to get some more game time into him.
"He feels like he needs to play. When speaking to him after the (Liverpool) game, (he said) he felt a bit rusty, he hasn't played a competitive game for a while. Obviously it's a different game but I think it makes sense for us to give him another game and get him back into the groove of playing football.
