Ange on Richy's return: "He's been harassing me to be involved"

Ange Postecoglou declared Richarlison 'ready to go' after announcing the forward's return from injury in time to face Arsenal in the Premier League at the Emirates on Wednesday evening (8pm UK).

Richy has been sidelined since picking up a hamstring injury in our 4-1 win against Aston Villa on 3 November. He came off the bench that day and set up our third goal for Dominic Solanke, but that's where he suffered his injury and he's been missing since.

Speaking ahead of the north London derby in his press conference at Hotspur Way on Tuesday, Ange explained how having Richy and Mikey Moore available - the young winger returned to action in Sunday's FA Cup win against Tamworth - made such a difference to his options in attacking areas.

He said: "It's just good to get Richy back, he's had an unfortunate season for us, but last season when he played, and even the little bit he played this season when he injured his hamstring, he fights and scraps for everything, and he's got quality as well.

"Just having an extra attacking player, with him and Mikey (Moore) available now makes such a difference in what we can do during games, between games, in terms of the way we play. We've taken our time with Richy this time, for sure. He's been harassing me for the last 10 days to be involved, but we've tried to stay disciplined with that and he's looked really good in training, he looks like he's ready to go, so really happy to get him back involved."
