Getting to the stadium
Mandatory ticket collection and shuttle buses
On instruction from the local Police in Alkmaar, it is mandatory for supporters who hold a ticket in the away supporters’ section to collect your ticket from the Fan Meeting Point at Paardenmarkt and use a shuttle bus from here to AFAS Stadion.
We are currently awaiting information from the local police with the process and timings for collecting your ticket at the Fan Meeting Point. This information will be communicated by email to all ticket holders as soon as possible.
On arrival at AFAS Stadion
Turnstiles will open two hours before kick-off - 4:45pm local time.
The shuttle buses will arrive in the designated away supporter’s area outside of the stadium, where supporters will need to pass through a turnstile to enter the search process. AZ Alkmaar stewards will conduct a soft body search and ticket check as supporters approach the three visiting supporters’ turnstiles to enter the stadium.
Supporters are advised to only bring essential items with them to the stadium. Please see the prohibited items section for more information.
The away supporters’ section is located in sections K and L. Supporters will receive a paper ticket at the Fan Meeting Point and will need to scan this for entry at the turnstiles.
Post-match hold back and return to Alkmaar station
On instruction from the local Police in Alkmaar, our supporters will be held in the visiting supporters’ section after the game for up to 60 minutes. Please note it will be mandatory for all supporters to take the shuttle bus to Alkmaar station after the game.
Access to toilet facilities will be available during this time.
Accessibility
If you are an access supporter, please carefully note the important information below, including separate travel and ticketing arrangements for wheelchair users and ambulant supporters.
Tottenham Hotspur access stewards and supporter liaison staff will be on hand to support our fans.
Wheelchair users
Wheelchair users should not go the Fan Meeting Point as the shuttle bus service does not stop at the dedicated stadium access entrance for wheelchair users. Instead, wheelchair users should make your own way to the stadium, entering a dedicated access gate at Entrance U. A drop-off facility is available outside of Entrance U with private parking also available upon request. The Tottenham Hotspur access team will contact you directly to understand how you plan to travel to the stadium and will be happy to offer further advice.
Wheelchair users are advised that all wheelchair accessible viewing spaces and concourse facilities are in the home section and AZ Alkmaar have asked that supporters do not wear Tottenham Hotspur clothing, items, or colours. All wheelchair spaces are located close to pitchside, several metres in front of the stand. A seat will be provided for your personal assistant to sit alongside you.
Catering facilities are located behind the wheelchair spaces, with ramped access to reach the concourse. However, there are no lowered counters, no hearing loops and no dedicated access queuing lanes. If you require support, we recommend your personal assistant visits the catering kiosks to purchase food and drink.
Two accessible toilets are available. The toilet is fitted with a standard lock and does not require a RADAR key. There is no Changing Places facility.
Ambulant supporters
If you have ambulant access requirements, you will need to collect your ticket from the Fan Meeting Point at Paardenmarkt and take the shuttle bus to the dedicated away supporters’ section.
Supporters with ambulant access requirements will be allocated seats alongside Tottenham Hotspur supporters in the away supporters section. Please note that there is no step-free access, and you will need to feel safe and comfortable climbing 13 steps to go between the concourse and your seat. There is a handrail available and ambulant supporters have been allocated seats with the fewest steps possible.
Catering kiosks are located inside the stand and there are no lowered counters, no hearing loops and no dedicated access queuing lanes. If you require support, we recommend your personal assistant visits the catering kiosks to purchase food and drink.
Please note that there are no dedicated accessible toilets in the away section. There are three standard cubicles in the men’s and women’s toilets.
Access amenities
There is no audio descriptive commentary service available at AFAS Stadion.
Medical exemption policy
Any supporters requiring medical exemption to the bag policy, or any prohibited items, are advised to contact the Club in advance of travel at access@tottenhamhotspur.com.
Alcohol
Alcohol will be served inside the stadium. Supporters who arrive intoxicated may be denied entry to the stadium.
Bag Policy
Only small handbags will be allowed into the stadium after searches by stewards at the entrance. We advise supporters to only bring essential items to the stadium. Please see prohibited items for further information.
Backpacks, rucksacks, luggage or any prohibited items will not be allowed into the stadium and there is no storage facility at AFAS Stadion.
Phone chargers
Power banks/portable phone chargers are permitted in the stadium.
Flag policy
Supporters must submit an image of their flag to supporterservices@tottenhamhotspur.com by 5pm on Tuesday 4 March to be pre-approved by AZ Alkmaar and the local Police. Any requests received after this time will not be permitted into AFAS Stadion. All flags must have a fire safety certificate.
The Club has always considered that a football match is a time to show allegiance to a football team first and foremost. A football match is not an appropriate arena to display flags of any political or religious affiliation or anything that could possibly be considered inflammatory - this can include national flags during times of political conflicts, campaigns or issues.
Please note, as at other stadia in the UK and Europe, flags with religious / sectarian / political / inflammatory or offensive messages will not be permitted and may be confiscated. Flag poles are not permitted.
Supporters are also reminded of the Club’s own Flags and Banners Policy which is in effect at away matches.
Concourse and payments (card only)
All catering kiosks are cashless. There are two food and beverage kiosks in the away supporters’ section which will accept major debit and credit cards.
There is one men’s and one women’s toilet facility, each with three cubicles available.
Smoking/vaping
Smoking and vaping are not permitted in the stadium.
Prohibited items
Supporters are strongly advised to travel light, only bringing essential items with them to the stadium. For a list of prohibited items, please see below:
Spurs respects
We are justly proud of our superb and loyal support at home and away. We all have a responsibility to act as ambassadors of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club and act as considerate visitors to those who live and work in the cities and countries we visit. Please respect local customs and traditions by not placing flags or banners on local statues or monuments.
We recognise that most supporters want to watch a football match and not to listen to abusive or indecent language from the stands. Discriminatory behaviour which includes shouting, chanting or actions such as racist, sectarian, homophobic, sexist or anti-disability behaviour is unacceptable. If you witness incidents like these, please get in contact with a steward as soon as you can.
