Ange Postecoglou is looking at ‘the next two or three weeks’ for the return of four players – Richarlison, Cristian Romero, Dominic Solanke and Micky van de Ven.

Vice-captain and central defender Cuti has been sidelined since 8 December while fellow centre-back Micky has featured only twice since 30 October. They’ve only featured together in nine of of our 39 matches in all competitions this season.

Striker Dominic has been out since injuring his knee in training after the north London derby on 15 January, missing our last seven matches while Richarlison picked up a calf problem in our Carabao Cup tie at Liverpool last week.

Speaking to us on Friday morning, Ange gave us this update on the four players.

“Micky, Cuti and Dom, again, we’re looking at the next two or three weeks for them. They’re going well," he explained.

“I guess with Micky, we decided to take a different strategy with him. We just want to make sure he’s absolutely right… talking to different people, he’s working with different medical teams and rehab staff to make sure he’s right. He’s working well and feeling good, which is a positive.

“Similar with Cuti. We’re just waiting… the healing in his quad is taking longer than we thought. He’s got one more scan to make sure it’s healed properly. Once we get that sign off, we should be good to go.

“Richy, again, similar to Madders and Brennan, who had similar calf injuries, depending on how he recovers – Madders bounced back really quickly, it’s only been two and a bit weeks for him, Brennan’s been three weeks - we’re looking at the same time frame for Richy.”

Elsewhere, Guglielmo Vicario, James Maddison and Destiny Udogie have all returned to full training and are expected to be back and available for selection ahead of the visit of United.

Brennan Johnson and Timo Werner are ever closer to being available for selection once again after they both returned to training this week. Meanwhile, there is positive news on Wilson Odobert as he has also returned to the grass but caution will be taken with his reintegration after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Radu Dragusin - who underwent surgery this week after sustaining an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury - remains sidelined alongside Cuti, Micky, Dom and Richy.
