Liverpool boss Arne Slot has confirmed that Trent Alexander-Arnold will miss our Carabao Cup semi-final, second leg at Anfield on Thursday evening (8pm UK) - and that the England international will be his only absentee for the huge tie.
Alexander-Arnold was substituted after 70 minutes of Liverpool's win at Bournemouth last weekend with 'pain in his leg' and although he's back in training with a rehabilitation coach, he's not ready for this second leg.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Slot said: "Trent is going to miss the game tomorrow and we have to see if he is able to play on Sunday. But what we do know is that he is not available for tomorrow. He left the pitch (at Bournemouth) with a bit of a pain in his leg, so that’s why he misses the game tomorrow."
Slot later reported all other members of his squad are fit for selection on Thursday, adding: "We did have some injury problems with Alisson, with Jota and with some others, but at the moment I think – apart from Trent – they are all available again."
Boosted by the arrival of new signings Kevin Danso and Mathys Tel - both available for Anfield - we will still have a number of players unavailable - Guglielmo Vicario, Cristian Romero, Micky van de Ven, Destiny Udogie, Timo Werner, Wilson Odobert, James Maddison, Dominic Solanke and Brennan Johnson.
