Hayley Raso netted her 21st goal for Australia on Thursday evening, but it wasn’t enough as they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Colombia in their final game of the SheBelieves Cup.
Named in the starting XI to earn her 95th cap, the forward – who also registered an assist in the Matildas’ previous game with USA – grabbed the equaliser to help put her nation on level terms heading into the final 20 minutes of the game.
And it was a goal made from Hotspur Way as defender Charlotte Grant, who also started the game, delivered a cross from the left to pick out Hayley inside the box, she took a fantastic first touch to create space before finding the back of the net.

However, Colombia would regain the lead minutes later through Catalina Usme, condemning Australia to a third consecutive defeat in the competition.
Hayley, ‘Charli’ and Clare Hunt all started and played the full match at the Snapdragon Stadium in San Diego, California.
Meanwhile, Jess Naz was a late second half substitute to earn her sixth cap for England on Thursday night at Wembley Stadium.
The forward replaced Ella Toone with just six minutes remaining on the clock as Jess Park’s first half strike was enough to see the Lionesses beat reigning world champions, Spain, 1-0 in the UEFA Nations League.
In the younger age groups, Araya Dennis once again stepped off the bench for England Under-19s as the Young Lionesses overcame the Netherlands on penalties following a 1-1 draw in the Albir Garden Tournament in Spain.
