Information for fans travelling to Anfield on Thursday evening

Wed 05 February 2025, 15:30|Tottenham Hotspur

Supporters making the trip to Anfield on Thursday for the second leg of our Carabao Cup semi-final against Liverpool should be aware of the following information...

A reminder that we kick-off at 8pm, with gates opening at 6pm.

Supporters are asked to take particular note of the information regarding the unauthorised use of tickets which can be found below.

Liverpool’s guide for visiting supporters can be found HERE.

Getting to Anfield

Anfield is a two-mile journey from Lime Street station for supporters arriving by train, with buses and taxis to the stadium available from the station. Supporters are reminded that there are no direct trains to London after the game.

The 917 bus to Anfield operates from Commutation Row in the city centre near to Lime Street Station, while the 26 and 17 services depart from Liverpool ONE Bus Station and Queen Square Bus Station respectively.

Supporters travelling to Liverpool by car are advised that there is minimal parking available near the stadium. Liverpool FC therefore recommend using city centre pay and display car parks and public transport to reach the stadium. Parking enforcement measures will be in operation around the stadium which is in a residential area.

Entering the stadium

As we have a larger ticket allocation for this match, supporters will enter the stadium via both corners of the Anfield Road Stand, with the visitors’ section accessed through Turnstiles M1-10, Q and R. The stadium opens at 6pm.

Due to stadium redevelopment works there is no access to the visitors’ section via Arkles Lane. Supporters should instead approach Anfield Road from the direction of 97 Avenue, which is behind the Main Stand.

Supporters walking up Arkles Lane from coach parking or from the Arkles Pub will be directed to use Dahlia Walk, through Stanley Park to 97 Avenue.

Supporters are asked to allow enough time for any necessary security checks which may include random searches. Supporters are advised to read the Bag Policy below as it is now strictly enforced at Anfield.

After the match supporters will be asked to turn left out of the stadium towards 97 Avenue.

Visitors’ seating area

Anfield is an all-seater stadium. Due to persistent standing, seats with rails have been installed in a number of rows at the rear of the visitors’ section. This area is not a designated safe standing area and supporters are asked to remain seated for the majority of the match.

Accessibility

Liverpool’s Access Guide can be found here.

Disabled supporters can enter the stadium via Gate DA6 on Anfield Road, approaching from 97 Avenue rather than Arkles Lane.

Wheelchair using supporters are able to access lower counter catering kiosks in the away end.

Accessible toilets are available and supporters without their own RADAR key will be able to request one from a steward.

Disabled Supporter Assistants will be present in accessible viewing areas along with Tottenham Hotspur Access Stewards should any support be required.

Should you have any specific requirements, please contact: disability@liverpoolfc.com.

Bag Policy

Fans are encouraged not to bring a bag to the stadium if possible. If a bag is required, it must not exceed A5 size (148.5mm x 210mm) and will be subject to a visual search before entry.

Larger bags will only be permitted at Liverpool’s discretion if they contain medication and / or medical equipment which cannot fit inside an A5 size bag. Any supporters who need to bring an oversized bag for medical reasons are advised to notify Liverpool before the game via disability@liverpoolfc.com.

Please note, there are no bag storage facilities at the stadium for visiting fans. Liverpool are looking into a facility, but it will be for contingencies only and will not be advertised.

Visiting supporters' pub

Visiting supporters are welcome at The Arkles on the corner of Arkles Lane and Anfield Road, which is a short walk from the visitors' section.

Ticket Office

Supporters collecting tickets can do so from the Main Ticket Office, located outside The Kop stand, which is opposite the Anfield Road stand. Duplicate tickets must be requested by emailing ticket.office@tottenhamhotspur.com and will only be provided on production of valid photo ID.

Refreshments

Kiosks in the visitors’ section will be serving food as well as alcoholic and soft drinks.

Cashless payments

Anfield is a cashless venue. All major debit and credit cards are accepted.

Flags and banners

Flags and banners under 2x1m are permitted in the visitors’ section, providing their flagpole is less than 7mm in diameter and less than 1m long. Flags larger than 2x1m are permitted providing they have an accompanying fire safety certificate.

Flags must be checked prior to entry and must not contain any offensive, discriminatory, defamatory or inflammatory (including politically motivated or nationalistic) content.

Supporters are also reminded of the Club’s own Flags and Banners Policy which is in effect at away matches.

Spurs Respects

We are proud of our superb and loyal support at home and away.

We recognise that most supporters want to watch a football match and not listen to abusive or indecent language from the stands. Discriminatory or violent behaviour, including racist, homophobic, sexist or anti-disability shouting, chanting or actions, is unacceptable.

The Club reserves the right to indefinitely ban supporters found guilty of using discriminatory language or violent behaviour.

Unauthorised use of tickets

Supporters are reminded that the unauthorised reselling or passing on of tickets is strictly prohibited. In line with the Club's Sanctions & Banning Policy, supporters selling away match tickets above face value will receive an indefinite ban and deduction of all Ticketing Points. Supporters passing on away match tickets equal to face value or less will receive a written warning and a 50% reduction of Ticketing Points.

Supporters unable to attend

Supporters unable to attend the match should contact the Ticket Office as soon as possible. The Club will make best endeavours to reallocate tickets to other eligible supporters and issue refunds upon receipt of original tickets.
