Ange explains van de Ven absence

Ange Postecoglou has explained why Micky van de Ven is not included in today's matchday squad at Brentford.

With the defender having just returned from injury and just completed 45 minutes on Thursday night in our win over Elfsborg, the centre-back is being rested this weekend as Ange manages his minutes.

"We're just trying to manage his minutes, " Ange explained at the Gtech. "It's a quick turnaround and with speaking with the medical team and Micky himself, we'll just keep him on ice this weekend, give him another week training and then hopefully he'll be ready for the end of the week.
