Williams-Barnett scores on England duty

Mon 24 February 2025, 16:30|Tottenham Hotspur

Luca Williams-Barnett struck once again for England's Under-17s as they stormed to a 4-0 win over the Netherlands on Sunday

Having fired home for his nation in his last game at this level - also a 4-0 win as the Young Lions defeated Latvia in October - Luca bagged the fourth and final goal in the dominant victory against the Dutch, finding the back of the net after being played into the box from a short corner, firing across the keeper and into the far corner.

The goal is another milestone in an impressive maiden season for the youngster. With 17 goals to his name for Stuart Lewis’ Under-18s already this season, he has also scored from the half-way line twice this term and been named on the bench for three senior Europa League fixtures, as well as our Premier League game against Fulham at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium back in December.

His Under-18 team-mates Malachi Hardy and Jun'ai Byfield also started in Sunday's win, with Malachi completing the full 90 minutes, playing alongside Byfield for 82 minutes in defence before the latter was substituted late on.

The boys will now link back up with Lewis' side ahead of our home game against Southampton this weekend in the Under-18 Premier League.
