Ange Postecoglou believes that Destiny Udogie and Micky van de Ven were merely suffering with cramp come the end of our Europa League quarter-final first leg encounter with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Both changes to the side as they came in to replace Ben Davies and Djed Spence from Sunday's win over Southampton, both seemed to feel the effects of the game as we were held to a 1-1 draw by the German side.

Destiny appeared worst off as he had to leave the pitch with 11 minutes remaining of the clash at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium while Micky collided with the post late on just as he came inches away from giving us the advantage when he saw his glancing header tipped over by the impressive Kaua Santos.

Yet, when we spoke to Ange on the Review Show straight after the game, our Head Coach suggested that the two had just experienced bouts of cramp, especially as Destiny was making just his sixth start of the year while it was just Micky's third.

"I think everyone got through (the game) okay but obviously a few tired lads," he explained. "Destiny was just cramp. I think Micky was cramping at the end there - obviously, they've missed a lot of football this year. It looks like they got through okay."

Speaking in his post-match press conference, Ange added: "Destiny just got cramp. He was unbelievable today. I thought it was incredible the amount of running he did. His effectiveness. It was incredible. He was just cramping up. He will be fine."
