Women’s Under-21s learn opponent in the FAWNL Plate

Our Women’s Under-21s side have been drawn away to Chesham United in the preliminary round of the FA Women’s National League Plate.

It’ll be the first time we will compete in this competition, pitting ourselves against tier three and four sides in the Women’s football pyramid, after it was announced that Professional Game Academy League teams had been invited into the Plate for the current campaign.

The draw was announced at 2pm on Monday (2 September) where it was revealed that we will travel to FAWNL Division One South East side Chesham United in the preliminary round, with the tie scheduled to take place on Sunday 15 September.

Nick Hardy’s side kicked off their 2024/25 campaign last Wednesday as, despite a spirited performance on the road, we fell to a 4-2 defeat to Arsenal in the season opener in the Professional Game Academy League.

The Under-21s return to action on Wednesday (4 September) as they face Charlton Athletic at home.
