Ange Postecoglou has provided a positive update on Dominic Solanke and Micky van de Ven ahead of Sunday’s Premier League home encounter with Arsenal.
As the North London Derby takes centre stage following the international break, our Head Coach revealed that Micky has been back training with the group for the duration of the two-week period after he missed our previous outing at Newcastle United.
As for Dom, who has been sidelined since making his debut in our league opener away to Leicester City on 19 August, the striker has also made good progress and returned to training this week ahead of potentially his first taste of the rivalry.
When asked about their availability ahead of the clash at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (kick-off 2pm UK), our Head Coach was cautiously optimistic on the pair's fitness and is hoping to have them available for the N17-N5 encounter.
"It’s fairly positive," said Ange. "Micky's good, he's trained all the way through the international break and it was good for him to stay with us to build him back up so he's ready to go.
"Dom's improved as well and trained the back half of this week. We still have two days to go with those guys so hopefully they get through training ok and are available."
