Talbert joins on loan

We are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Katelin Talbert on loan from West Ham United.

The 25-year-old will join the Club until the end of December, 2024, and will wear the number 26 shirt.

Born in Sacramento, United States, Katelin began her career at Humboldt State University alongside a spell with California Storm in her native country.

Katelin then moved to Iceland for a stint with Fimleikafélag Hafnarfjarðar (FH) in the Icelandic second division before making the switch to Portugal to join Benfica in January, 2022.

In her 18 months with the Portuguese side, she made 23 appearances for As Aguias and won consecutive Compeonato Nacional Feminino (Portugese top flight) titles, while claiming the League Cup and Portuguese Women’s Super Cup. She also featured in their UEFA Women’s Champions League campaign during the 2022/23 season.

Following her time in Portugal, Katelin signed for West Ham United in August, 2023, before spending last term on loan with Swedish side Djurgardens IF, where she made 14 appearances in all competitions in Damallsvenskan.
