We step into UEFA Europa League action for the first time since 2021 this evening when Qarabag come to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

It’s our first foray into the new-style league stage of the competition – which has replaced the group stage from this season onwards – and sees us welcome the Azerbaijani side to north London for the second time in nine years after we faced them in this competition at White Hart Lane back in 2015, when a certain Heung-Min Son marked his home debut with his first two goals for the Club.

What time is kick-off against Qarabag?

The match starts at 8pm UK time.

Tonight’s match will be televised live in the UK on TNT Sports 1.

What is the team news?

Defender Cristian Romero misses out tonight through suspension – he picked up a one-match ban after being sent off in our last UEFA match in 2023.

Full-backs Djed Spence and Sergio Reguilon are ineligible to feature in the league stage of the competition.

Forwards Richarlison and Wilson Odobert are still sidelined through injury.

Qarabag also have a defender out with suspension – Kevin Medina was sent off in their Champions League play-off against Dinamo Zagreb and serves a one-game ban this evening.

Who is the referee?

French referee Willy Delajod will officiate tonight’s clash.

He’ll be assisted by Erwan Finjean and Philippe Jeanne, with Thomas Leonard as the fourth official.

Benoît Millot and assistant Alan Kijas are on VAR duties.

What colours will the teams be playing in?

As is traditional in European competition, we’ll be wearing an all-white variation of our home kit this evening, with our goalkeeper in yellow.

Qarabag have an all-black strip with their keeper in a red patterned kit.

What will the weather conditions be like?

It’s due to rain in north London this evening, with temperatures at around 13 degrees.
