George Abbott put in a full shift as Notts County recovered from the early shock of trailing 2-0 after six minutes to beat Bromley 4-2 and move top of League Two on Saturday.

The midfielder - starting his second match - and his side looked like they were facing an uphill battle when goals from Michael Cheek and Ben Thompson put Bromley in control in the early stages at Hayes Lane.

However, County pulled a goal back before the break before turning the game around in the second half for a 4-2 win and their fourth win on the spin to take them top of the early standings in League Two.

Switching Bromley for Belgium, Alfie Devine made his debut for KVC Westerlo against Anderlecht in the Belgian Pro League. Alfie came off the bench for the second half, where future Spur Luka Vuskovic netted to put the Antwerp side 2-1 up, only for Anderlecht to find a late leveller.

Back in the Championship, Manor Solomon started and looked lively again for Leeds, but was inadvertently invovlved in Burnley's winner at Elland Road on Saturday. Manor slipped inside Burnley's half, Luca Koleosho picked up the loose ball and sped 60 yards into Leeds' box before finishing. That proved the only goal of the game on 18 minutes, Manor was substituted on 78 minutes.

In League One, Matthew Craig started and played 60 minutes as Barnsley suffered a 3-0 loss at Stevenage - the Tykes face Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday evening.

Goalkeeper Carey Bloedorn made a number of saves only to see his Aveley side relinquish a 1-0 lead to lose their FA Cup second qualifying round tie 2-1 at Royston on Saturday.

In Spain, Alejo Veliz went close in the first half and was involved in the move that lead to Espanyol's opener as his side beat Deportivo Alaves 3-2 in La Liga - skipper Javi Puado leading the way with a hat-trick.
