Our brand new 2024/25 Nike Third Kit made its first ever appearance as we rounded off our pre-season programme, and maintained our 100 per cent record in our campaign preparations, with a 1-0 victory over Manchester United at St George’s Park on Sunday afternoon.

Released last month, the all-green number enjoyed a memorable first outing as we made it six wins out of six for pre-season with victory over fellow Barclays Women's Super League outfit United.

Following a highly contested first half at the Football Association’s football centre, where we carved out a number of opportunities, we eventually broke the deadlock midway through the second half through Martha Thomas against her former side.

Drew Spence picked out the Scotland international inside the box with a lovely pass and Martha, at full stretch, managed to fire her shot past Phallon Tullis-Joyce and into the roof of the net, scoring her third goal of pre-season.

The victory over Marc Skinner’s side brought a positive end to pre-season as we secured our sixth win from sixth while also securing back-to-back clean sheets ahead of our 2024/25 WSL season opener at home to Crystal Palace on Sunday.
