Yves Bissouma scored Mali’s goal as they battled out a 1-1 home draw with Mozambique in Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying on Friday night.
The midfielder received a pass and fired home to equalise in the 52nd minute after Geny Catamo had given the visitors a first-half lead in Bamako.
It was Yves’ first international goal since a 2-1 home win over Gabon in June, 2017. He now has four to his name for Mali.
Of course, it’s his second competitive goal of the season after his superb effort for us in our first home game of the new campaign against Everton last month. He also found the net in our pre-season friendly win at Queens Park Rangers.
Yves was substituted in the 94th minute against Mozambique, with another AFCON qualifier away to Eswatini still to come on Tuesday.
