Ange Postecoglou has revealed that Wilson Odobert has suffered what looks to be a 'serious' injury.
Having missed the last six weeks with a hamstring injury, the sprightly winger made his return to action in Thursday night's 1-0 Europa League win over AZ Alkmaar, coming on from the bench for the final two minutes of the game.
However, this week, the man signed from Burnley this summer has suffered an injury as he continued his work to get back to full fitness.
Ange explained in his press conference on Tuesday as he previewed Wednesday's Carabao Cup tie with Manchester City (kick-off 8.15pm) that we are still waiting further information but it is a disappointing development.
"The only other one missing out (other than Heung-Min Son) which is a bit of a disappointment is Wilson (Odobert), who has had a setback during the week and it seems like it is a serious one, so we're just waiting for more information," Ange said.
What Ange could add though is that the injury is not believed to be the same as which has kept Wilson out of action for the last six weeks, although it is in the same area.
"(It's) not exactly the same (injury) but (it's the) same area," he revealed.
