Ange Postecoglou has provided an update on Heung-Min Son ahead of Sunday's trip to Crystal Palace.
Sonny missed Thursday night's 1-0 Europa League win over AZ Alkmaar as part of a planned rest, however Ange had revealed our captain had felt soreness at the end of our 4-1 win over West Ham United on Saturday.
And it was confirmed by our Head Coach in his press conference on Friday (25 October) morning that our number seven has not yet recovered fully and thus will be 'unlikely' to feature at Selhurst Park on Sunday.
Djed Spence is expected to return to full training next week.
In terms of the rest of the squad, Ange admitted that a number of players were feeling fatigue the morning after the win over AZ, but that would not be a concern for him ahead of Sunday.
"In terms of last night (1-0 win over AZ Alkmaar), we're all good, no issues, a bit of fatigue for some of the guys where they've not played for a while," Ange said.
On our skipper, our Head Coach explained, "Sonny's still not right, still not feeling 100 per cent. He won't train today, so he's unlikely for this weekend and we'll see after that."
