Trio in Australia squad for upcoming internationals

Hayley Raso, Clare Hunt and Charlotte Grant have received call-ups to the Australia national team for the upcoming friendlies in October.

Interim Head Coach Tom Sermanni named his 23-player squad on Friday (11 October) as the Matildas embark on away trips to face Switzerland and Germany.

The first of those games come on Friday 25 October as they travel to Letzigrund in Zürich to play Switzerland (kick-off 7pm UK). They then head to the city centre of Duisburg to take on Germany at MSV-Arena (kick-off 5.10pm UK).

This international break will be seen as preparations ahead of their AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2026 campaign, where they were selected as host nations for just the second time in their history.

Hayley heads into the breaks with 82 caps and 19 goals to her name. Defender Clare Hunt has 23 caps while ‘Charli’ has 27 caps, scoring one goal.
