Robert Vilahamn is hoping to have Amanda Nildén available for selection for our trip to Chelsea on Sunday evening (6.45pm UK) with Ella Morris also expected to return – although Hayley Raso will miss the Barclays Women’s Super League encounter.

The Sweden international missed our trip to Manchester United last weekend, but the defender returned to training this week and could be in contention to make the squad to Kingsmeadow, however, Robert said that she will continue to be assessed ahead of this weekend.

There was also more positive news as he confirmed that Ella Morris, who is yet to make her competitive debut for the Club, could make her return to the matchday squad after she returned to full training.

However, Hayley has been ruled out of Sunday’s London derby as she continues to recover from a minor ‘soft tissue’ injury, while midfielder Maite Oroz, as confirmed last weekend, will be unavailable for several weeks.

Shuang Wang, Amy James-Turner and Kit Graham all remain sidelined for this fixture.

Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Thursday afternoon, Robert said: “Amanda is back in training so hopefully she can be playing on Sunday but will be checked on Saturday to make sure we have the right progress on her.

“Hayley is still out this weekend, she’s on the field but not really back yet… just a small thing. Ella is back in full action so, if everything goes well, she will be ready for Sunday.

"Maite is also out for around six to eight weeks, while Shuang and Amy are not ready yet – that’s where we are right now.”
