Amanda Nildén and Matilda Vinberg have been named in the Sweden National Team squad for their upcoming international fixtures in October.
Our Swedish duo were part of Peter Gerhardsson’s 25-player squad, which was announced on Tuesday afternoon, for their UEFA Euro 2025 play-off double-header against Luxembourg.
The Blågult will travel to Stade Emile Mayrisch in Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg, on Friday 25 October (6.30pm UK) for the first leg of the tie before hosting the reverse fixture in Göteborg four days later (6pm UK).
If Sweden overcome Luxembourg in the first round of the play-offs, they could face either Bosnia and Herzegovina or Serbia in the second round, with the winner of that tie securing their spot in next summer’s finals in Switzerland.
Matilda, who netted her first senior international goal earlier this year, heads into the international break with seven caps to her name and one goal, while Amanda has nine caps for her country to date.
