Women’s Under-21s player Jhanaie Pierre has been named in the latest England Under-17 squad for round one of their 2025 UEFA European Women’s Under-17 Championship qualifiers.
Jhanaie, who was named in the Under-17 squad last month for their double-header against Spain, was named in John Salomon’s 20-player squad on Monday morning.
The Young Lionesses will face the Faroe Islands on Monday 7 October (12pm UK), who have already qualified for next summer’s finals as the host nation, before taking on Czech Republic three days later (12pm UK) and rounding off their fixtures against Netherlands on Sunday 13 October.
Salomon’s side are bidding for one of seven spots up for grabs at the European finals and will progress to round two of qualification providing they finish in the top three of the four-team qualification group.
The young forward, who has scored twice in the Professional Game Academy League so far, has been a part of our academy for a number of years and has progressed to our Under-21s squad for the 2024/25 campaign.
