Johnson claims September Goal of the Month award

Brennan Johnson has taken the Goal of the Month award for September in recognition of his opener in our 3-0 win over Manchester United.

Scoring for fun at the moment with a goal in each of his last six appearances for us, Brennan's strike against United has come top of a poll run across our website and official app in the past week.

A goal that will be fondly remembered for sometime - largely because of Micky van de Ven's quite outrageous run and pass to set up the goal - it was the Welshman's fourth goal in four games as we stormed to victory at Old Trafford.

Interestingly, both our our Goal of the Month award winning strikes so far this season have both been set up by a barnstorming run and then pass by Micky!

In a poll of eight of our best goals from the month, our number 22's strike against United pipped Dejan Kulusevski's volley from the same day to the prize, with Brennan's effort at Brentford coming in third.
