Internationals | Our four representatives in England set-up

Tue 22 October 2024, 13:00|Tottenham Hotspur

As the first international break of the 2024/25 campaign approaches for a number of our first team players, we will have four representatives across all age groups for England – from Under-17s to the senior team.

Jess Naz received her second call-up to the senior side ahead of their friendlies against Germany and South Africa as Sarina Wiegman’s side build preparations for next summer’s UEFA EURO 2025 finals in Switzerland.

Our number seven, who was promoted to the Lionesses squad for the first time back in May, 2024, made her senior international debut in July as she came on as a second half substitute in the 2-1 win over the Republic of Ireland, becoming just the third player to represent England while playing for Spurs (Bethany England and Grace Clinton).

Naz on Lionesses debut

Jess Naz recalls the moment she stepped on to the pitch at Norwich City’s Carrow Road as an England.

Academy graduate Lenna Gunning-Williams received her maiden call-up to the Under-23s squad – the first time that she has been involved in any set-up for England – ahead of their Under-23 Euro League fixtures against Netherlands and Portugal.

Araya Dennis was named in the Under-19s squad for their Algarve Cup fixtures against Norway and Netherlands while, earlier this month, Under-21s player Jhanaie Pierre featured in two games for England Under-17s as they secured first place in Group A3 in round one of UEFA EURO 2025 qualifying.

It has been a whirlwind few months for the young forward who not only received her first call-up to England set-up over the summer, but Jhanaie was named in our Barclays Women’s Super League matchday squad against Chelsea for the first time in her career.
