Dog of the Match | Man City, Carabao Cup

Wed 30 October 2024, 08:45|Tottenham Hotspur

As the Club for dog lovers, we are featuring a ‘Dog of the Match’ at every home game throughout the season.

Members of Tottenham Hotspawour first-ever Official Supporters’ Club for dog lovers - have been posting pictures of their beloved pets on the group’s Facebook page for a chance for them to be featured on the stadium big screens ahead of kick-off and in the matchday programme.

The ‘Dog of the Match’ for tonight’s match against Manchester City is Bess - a 12-year-old boxer dog from Greenhithe, Kent. Her owner, Julie Preston, had a Saturday job at White Hart Lane as youngster, selling teas, coffees and sausage rolls. Bess loves playing football - her favourite thing is heading and dribbling the ball, collecting sticks, stones and lost balls in woods before sitting on the sofa to watch Spurs with a warm cup of tea.

Alongside our ‘Dog of the Match’, we also profile rescue dogs currently up for adoption with All Dogs Matter - the fantastic charity partner of Tottenham Hotspaw - giving fans the chance to provide a forever home so badly needed.

Tonight, we are featuring Bob and Bubble - a gorgeous Pom and Pom-Chi pair who are looking for a new home after sadly being abandoned. Bob and Bubble are a sweet little pair who are looking for a new owner and comfy sofa to call their own! They are good with other dogs when out, but would prefer to be the only dogs in the home as they might find it difficult to welcome another dog into their pack. They are looking for a new home with an owner who has owned dogs before, in a home with direct access to a garden.
