As the Club for dog lovers, we are featuring a ‘Dog of the Match’ at every home game throughout the season.
Members of Tottenham Hotspaw - our first-ever Official Supporters’ Club for dog lovers - have been posting pictures of their beloved pets on the group’s Facebook page for a chance for them to be featured on the stadium big screens ahead of kick-off and in the matchday programme.
The ‘Dog of the Match’ for tonight’s match against AZ Alkmaar is Queen Telly - an 8-year-old Chocolate Labrador from Gothenburg, Sweden. She likes to join her owner, Niclas Scott, when he goes to watch Spurs at the local pub and starts running around barking if we score! She enjoys walks with Mum and Dad, and her favourite foods are meatballs, cheeseballs and shrimp. Niclas has been a Spurs fan for 55 years and is a member of our Official Swedish Supporters’ Club.
Alongside our ‘Dog of the Match’, we also profile rescue dogs currently up for adoption with All Dogs Matter – the fantastic charity partner of Tottenham Hotspaw - giving fans the chance to provide a forever home so badly needed.
Tonight, we are featuring Ernie - a 1-year-old French Bulldog who came to All Dogs Matter for rehoming after a change in his owner’s circumstances. Ernie is a lovely boy and is settling in well in his North London foster home. Ernie would like a new owner who has had dogs before in a home with direct access to a garden - no cats please. He can be a little choosy with his dog friends, so would prefer to be the only dog in a home.
