Dane Scarlett has called up to the England Under-21 squad.
The Academy graduate, who is spending this campaign on loan at Championship outfit Oxford United, was initially called up for the England Men's Elite League squad (formerly the Under-20s) alongside Will Lankshear and Ashley Phillips but has now been promoted to the Under-21s squad.
This month, the Young Lions face a pair of UEFA Under-21 European Championship qualifiers with fixtures against Ukraine (Friday 11 October) and Azerbaijan (Tuesday 15 October). Dane will now link up with Archie Gray in the squad.
This is the second time the forward has been in an England Under-21 squad having previously been called up in September, 2023. He made his debut for the side in that break, coming on as a second-half substitute in a 3-0 win over Luxembourg.
The promotion to the Under-21s follows a fine run of form for the youngster in the Elite League squad as he has scored in all bar one of his last six appearances for the Under-20s, scoring eight goals across that period including a hat-trick against Poland back in March. He has also captained the Under-20s in their last four fixtures.
