We are delighted to announce that the Club has been awarded the Advanced Level of the Premier League Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Standard (PLEDIS).
Having previously been awarded the Advanced Level of the Premier League’s Equality Standard (PLES) in 2021, the Club has been working towards attaining the Advanced Level of the revised standard over the past three seasons, embedding Diversity, Equality and Inclusion (DEI) across everything we do.
During this time, the Club has been continually assessed against the standard’s four key themes: Leadership and Commitment; Promoting DEI; Data, Insight and Delivery and Learning and Development.
Amongst the achievements, the Club has rolled out its three-year Health & Wellbeing action plan for staff, become the first to sign up to the Mayor of London’s Women’s Night Safety Charter and continued to work closely with representative fan groups on DEI initiatives.
Further milestones over the past three seasons include the development of a Female Coach Mentoring Programme within our Global Football Development (GFD) department; the pilot of an Anti-Racist Coaching Practices programme within the Academy Operations team, delivered in conjunction with the Premier League and the University of Leeds; and the ‘Level Up’ mentoring programme implemented by the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation’s Youth, Employment and Skills department.
By achieving the Advanced Level of PLEDIS, the Club has been recognised with the league’s highest honour and as a leader in DEI.
Donna-Maria Cullen, Executive Director, said: “As a Club committed to diversity, equity and inclusion across everything we do, we are extremely proud to be maintaining Advanced Level in the PLEDIS and will continue to work with our staff and fans to deliver the broadest possible range of people-focused initiatives - leading the way in driving positive change within our industry - with the clear message that Tottenham Hotspur is for everyone.”
