Charlton vs Spurs (WLC) | How to watch, team news, kit colours and key information

Wed 02 October 2024, 10:00|Tottenham Hotspur

We kick off our Women’s League Cup campaign at home to Charlton Athletic this evening (kick-off 7.15pm UK) at The Valley.

The Addicks, led by former manager Karen Hills who spent over a decade with us, have enjoyed a fine start to their FA Women’s Championship season, sitting top of the table after winning their opening four games.

Here’s all you need to know ahead of our first match of the group stage…

How can I watch the game?

Supporters can buy tickets on the day from Charlton’s ticket office at The Valley.

Tonight’s game will also be broadcast live on the Barclays Women’s Super League YouTube channel, kick-off 7.15pm UK.

You can also keep up to date with minute-by-minute text updates on our Match Centre here on tottenhamhotspur.com and the Spurs Official app.

Video highlights of all the action will be available on SPURSPLAY on Monday.

What is the team news?

Robert Vilahamn delivered some positive team news on Tuesday (1 October) afternoon as he confirmed that defender Luana Buhler is back available and in contention for the Women’s League Cup tie.

However, Ella Morris has suffered a small setback from her injury and will miss the trip to The Valley.

Kit Graham, Shuang Wang and Amy James-Turner all remain sidelined.

There are some familiar faces among Charlton’s side, including former players Ellie Brazil and Gracie Pearse.

Ellie, who spent two seasons with us before leaving in the summer, has netted three goals in the first four games.

Who is the referee?

Lisa Benn will take charge of this evening’s tie.

She will be assisted by Sophie Dennington and Thomas Well.

Michael Butcher will be the fourth official.

What colours will the teams be playing?

Charlton will wear their usual red shirt, with black shorts and red socks.

Their goalkeeper will be in an all-blue strip.

We’ll be wearing our home kit, featuring Lilywhite shirts, navy blue shorts and white socks, with our keeper in all-yellow.

What will the weather conditions be like?

There’s expected to be spells of light rain throughout the day before turning cloudy and dry ahead of kick-off at 7.15pm UK, with temperatures at around 14 degrees.
